Welcome back, and a special welcome to our new families! The Jackson Park Parent Teacher Organization is here to help all students receive a great education by working with parents, teachers, and community members to supplement and enrich our school programs. Our goals are to have fun, raise money, support JP kids and families, and to promote good solid community with everyone involved with our kids.

Please be sure to check your child's folder every Monday for our weekly communication, the JP Monday Memo. Here you will find dates and information about all that's going on at JP. One of the BEST ways to stay informed about what's going on at school is to subscribe to our online news user group. You will receive email updates as well as electronic copies of the Monday Memo and other publications. To subscribe go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jacksonparknews and click on the "Join This Group" button at the top of the page.

Everyone who has a child attending JP is a member of the PTO. No dues or fees are involved; donations are welcomed. Check your "First Day" folders for a volunteer sign-up sheet and find out how you can get involved – we have lots of fun activities but we can't do them without YOUR help. Most jobs are easy and require only a little time. PTO officers and past volunteers are always here to help, so you are never on your own! We love our volunteers and truly appreciate any help you give.
