On April 21, the Board of Education meeting agenda will include a recommendation to approve the 2011-12 transportation
contract with First Student. The District hired TransPar Group, a transportation consulting firm, to assist in the development of new transportation routes as a result of elementary consolidation and movement of sixth grade to Brittany Woods.

In order to accommodate these changes and ensure students on buses arrive at school on time, administration recommends minor schedule changes for 2011-12. The changes will allow more time for transporting elementary students specifically, but changes at all levels are necessary to create the additional time needed. The proposed changes for 2011-12 are as follows:

UCHS current: 7:30am to 2:25 pm, proposed: 7:25 am to 2:20pm
Brittany Woods current: 8:00am to 3:00pm, proposed: 7:50 am to 2:50pm
Jackson Park, Flynn Park and BC Jordan current: 8:40 am to 3:30pm, proposed: 8:45am to 3:35pm
Pershing: current: 8:40am to 3:30pm, proposed: 9:15am to 4:05pm
